Yaxley kicked off the 2013/2014 Frostbite Friendly League in promising fashion on Sunday, with the seniors finishing eighth and the juniors fifth in the first race of the series at St Neots.
In warm conditions, a total of 49 Yaxley members took part, making us the fifth biggest team on the day, and the best represented club from Peterborough.
The scoring men were James Mogridge (21st, 29:13), Mike Morley (32nd, 30:41), Simon Hunt (63rd, 32:02), Mark Evans (83rd, 32:43), Simon Perkins (94th, 33:07), Mike Branston (101st, 33:26) and Mark Hazlehurst (136th, 35:08).
Our scoring ladies were Karen Ives (205th, 37:14), Tasha Johnson (217th, 37:34) and Claire Piercy (227th, 38:02).
In the junior race, our scoring athletes were Ben Tudor (8th, 7:44), Charlie Evans (17th, 8:13), Georgia Fitzgibbon (46th, 9:02), Jamie Cooke (63rd, 9:24) and Georgia Price (65th, 9:25).
