A superb performance from our youngsters saw Yaxley Runners juniors finish joint fourth in the latest round of the Frostbite Friendly League in March today.

And on a bitterly cold morning, the seniors also impressed as they finished ninth on a day when the standings were extremely close.

The scoring members for the seniors were Simon Hunt – 26 (29:37), Simon Perkins – 48 (31:29), Jim Grant – 58 (31:42), Hugh Burton – 71 (32:06), Matt Stearn – 87 (32:47), Duncan Jackson – 95 (33:21), Francis Sykes – 143 (35:17), Claire Piercy – 169 (36:03), Roslyn Loutit – 181 (36:26) and Sue Harlow – 187 (36:42).

The scoring juniors were Charlie Evans – 13 (9:22), Luke Swindells – 22 (9:32), Adam Paice – 29 (9:48), Sam Cooke – 36 (10:05) and Harriet Coles – 51 (10:37).
