Mike Morley made an impressive debut over 26.2 miles today with a magnificent time at the Brighton Marathon.

He completed the course in a time of 3:08:51 to finish in a superb 149 place out of 9,067 runners.

The marathon season continues next weekend with the Virgin London Marathon.

Elsewhere, we had three runners taking part in the inaugural Huntingdon Parkrun 5k.

Jim Grant was first home in a time of 21:32 to finish 16th, followed by Paul Atherfold (24:07, 34th) and Callum Atherfold (26:48, 76th).
