It may have been glorious weather for those of us watching on the course, but our runners at the Milton Keynes Marathon had to endure stifling heat as they bravely completed the 26.2 miles.
In baking conditions, Karen Ives led the team home in a fantastic time of 3:46:48 just 15 days after completing the London Marathon.
Next across the lines was Sally Evans, who smashed her PB with a fantastic time of 4:06:27, with Steve Joy-Good, who had also competed at London, next in 4:10:52
They were followed by Nikki Timms (4:16:37), Lesley Coles (4:17:54), Nina Wright (4:49:45) and Brabara Johnson (4:49:47).
